Journey with our indigenous guides to the Alice Springs Desert Park for an interactive and unique experience.
Visit a living history museum where a wide range of historic photographs and exhibits are on display. Learn about traditional tribal life, language, hunting, gathering, religion, ceremony, art, dance, music, weapons and contemporary Aboriginal history.
Didgeridoo University – in an action packed 1 hour you can be taught how to obtain a sound out of the world’s oldest and most fascinating musical instrument. You will also be shown how they are made. Lots of good music and fun!
Visit Aboriginal homelands on the fringe of the Simpson Desert, participate in a cultural campout under a million stars, seek out bush tucker, perhaps eat traditionally cooked kangaroo, throw a boomerang and learn about the many traditional weapons, tools and artifacts. Maybe learn and participate in ceremonial dances.
Undertake a journey to Uluru. Participate in a special workshop with National Park Rangers that will highlight the significance of Uluru to the Aborigines of the region for over 40,000 years.
Perhaps visit an Aboriginal community, a camel farm and Watarrka-Kings Canyon National Park.
Traverse the Mereenie track through aboriginal land, visit a comet crater, walk a section of the Larapinta Trail, visit Hermannsburg Mission and settlement, meet community elders and the see a community primary school. The art gallery of the famous aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira can also be included.
